Back to School during the Pandemic
August used to be the beginning of the back-to-school season. This routine ritual, however, is seriously disrupted because of the spread of COVID virus. Thanks to modern technology, I am able to continue my art schooling during the pandemic. These two paintings were completed by following the instructions of Rick Surowicz (left) and David Rankin (right). It was fun.

Today (June 20, 2020) is the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. I enjoy painting the scene of a calm, peaceful, doing-nothing, lazy summer afternoon. Here are two of them, the old one (left) in Chinese Brush, and the recent one (right) in watercolor.

Let's Go Traveling
With coronavirus spreading all over the world, our artist group comes up a fun way to travel and paint. Using Google Earth, we can travel to any corner on earth, and sketch the scenery we like.

Every time I went to LA to visit my sisters and brothers, we always made a stop at Huntington Library
I gave a painting similar to this to my best friend for her birthday many years ago.
Revisited my favorite subject recently.
It was an honor for this work to receive the Best of Show award in the 2018 Annual Barbara Luton Art Competiton.
